Jalapeno Whole Cranberry Sauce

1 cup honey or sugar

1 cup water

12 oz cranberries

1 jalapeno

Dice jalapeno. In a saucepan, combine honey or sugar and water. Bring to boil. Add cranberries and return to boil. Reduce heat to medium, gently boil for 10 minutes, and stir occasionally. Transfer to a storage container. Cover and cool completely to room temperature. Refrigerate until serving. Makes about 2 1/4 cups.

One of my favorite things about this recipe is watching and listening to the cranberries pop open.
