Chicken Gravy

2 cups chicken broth

1/2 cup butter

1/3 cup flour

1/4 tsp salt

In a small bowl, stir the flour and salt together. Add 1/2 cup of broth with a whisk until smooth. Set aside.

In 1 quart saucepan, heat 1-1/2 cups of broth and butter to boiling. Reduce heat to medium.

Gradually whisk flour mixture into hot broth. It is important to use a whisk and consistently whisk it. Cook and whisk until thickened.
